Keeping existing spaces clean, accessible and well maintained was a central message in Peterhead’s greenspace survey, according to results published by We Are Peterhead on 14 October.
The project team recorded 130 responses. It said 78% of respondents visited greenspaces at least weekly, with walking the most common activity. Requests included more bins, better-maintained paths, improved lighting and entrances, seating and shelter. Facilities at the Lido were also raised.
The findings describe the views of respondents, not a town-wide vote or an approved construction programme. We Are Peterhead said the feedback would help the Board prepare an investment strategy for parks and greenspaces.
