MY DIGITAL TOWN · EDITORIAL STANDARDS
Useful. Local. Accountable.
The approach we use to review information for the temporary website.
Sources and verification
Research leads, RSS imports and public contributions need review before publication. Sources remain linked, and publication and verification dates provide context. A source’s reporting is attributed; its article is not copied.
Clear status
Proposals are labelled as proposals. Unconfirmed openings, event times and road restrictions stay in the editorial queue. Expired events and notices leave upcoming or active sections while their detail pages remain available.
Responsible imagery
Images need a relevant subject, alt text and recorded reuse permission. AI-generated artwork is labelled as illustration and must not pretend to depict a real incident, premises or proposed development.
Local information can change
Check prices, allergens, opening hours, booking conditions and last-minute changes directly with the business, venue or official organiser. Road notices should be read alongside the linked official source.
Corrections and concerns
We welcome evidence-backed corrections and image permission concerns. The project owner reviews these privately; sending a report does not automatically change public content.
